Privacy Policy
Introduction
Effective date: Oct 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Lumos Health Technologies, Inc., doing business as Bluebird (“Bluebird,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, and shares information about you. It applies when you visit bluebirdglasses.com, join our waitlist, buy or use Bluebird glasses, use the Bluebird app, or otherwise interact with us (together, our “Services”).
By using our Services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree with it, please don’t use our Services.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address, when you join our waitlist, place an order, or contact us.
- Order information, such as the products you buy and your order history. Payments are processed by our payment providers; we don’t store your full card number.
- Account information, such as your login details, when you create an account in the Bluebird app.
- Communications, such as messages you send our support team and survey or review responses.
- Referral information, such as a friend’s name or email address, if you choose to refer someone to Bluebird.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages you view, links you click, and the site that referred you.
- Cookies and similar technologies, described in “Cookies, pixels, and analytics” below.
- Email engagement, such as whether you open our emails or click their links.
- Bot protection. When you submit our signup form, Vercel, our hosting provider, uses its BotID security service to collect and analyze technical signals from your browser to distinguish people from automated bots. We use this check only to prevent automated abuse and protect the signup form, not for advertising or analytics.
Information from your glasses and the Bluebird app
When you dock your glasses and use the Bluebird app, we collect:
- Usage information, such as when and how long you use your glasses, and your settings.
- Device information, such as your glasses’ and dock’s serial numbers, firmware version, battery and charging status, and diagnostic data.
Bluebird is a wellness product. We use this information to run and improve the app and glasses, not to diagnose or treat any medical condition.
Information from others
We may receive information about you from advertising and analytics partners, from a friend who refers you, and from service providers that help us run our business.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and deliver orders, handle returns, and provide customer support
- Send waitlist updates, launch news, and order and account messages
- Run, maintain, and improve our website, app, and glasses
- Send marketing emails, which you can opt out of at any time
- Measure and improve our advertising
- Run our referral program
- Prevent fraud, protect our Services, and keep them secure
- Comply with the law and enforce our terms
How we share information
We don’t sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described here.
- Service providers that help us run our business, such as our ecommerce and payment providers, email provider, hosting and security providers including Vercel, analytics providers including Google Analytics and PostHog, shipping carriers, customer support tools, and referral and try-before-you-buy programs. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Advertising and analytics partners, such as Meta and Google, through cookies, pixels, and server-to-server connections. They help us show relevant ads and measure how they perform. Some state laws may treat this as “sharing” or “selling” personal information. You can opt out as described under “Your choices and rights.”
- Legal and safety reasons, when we believe it’s required by law or needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bluebird, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case your information may transfer to the new owner.
- With your consent, or at your direction.
Cookies, pixels, and analytics
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to keep our website working, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use our site, and measure and personalize advertising.
We use the Meta Pixel in your browser and Meta’s Conversions API on our server to measure advertising performance. When you successfully join our waitlist, our server may send Meta a signup event containing your IP address, browser information (user agent), Meta cookie or advertising click identifiers, the signup time, and an event identifier that helps Meta avoid counting the same signup twice. We do not include your email address or health information in this server-side event. We send it only when marketing is enabled under your privacy settings and your browser is not sending Global Privacy Control.
You can control these technologies in several ways:
- Open “Your Privacy Choices” at the bottom of our US website pages to control analytics and marketing separately, as described under “Your choices and rights.”
- Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. We honor this signal as an opt-out of both analytics and marketing, including the Meta Pixel and server-side signup events.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features may not work without them.
- Install Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Adjust your ad preferences directly with Meta and Google.
On the website pages covered by these controls, PostHog analytics and Meta advertising tools are disabled for visitors outside the United States.
Analytics and site usage data
We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how visitors use bluebirdglasses.com. Unless you opt out, PostHog collects information about your visit, such as pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, device and browser type, approximate location (from IP address), and the site that referred you. We use this to build aggregated reports, heatmaps, and session replays, which are reconstructions of how a page was used. They help us find bugs and improve the site.
Session replays are set to mask everything you type, so your entries in our forms don’t appear in them. If you join our waitlist, we may link your visit to the email address you give us. PostHog processes this data on our behalf as a service provider, and we don’t sell it or use it for advertising. Session replays are kept for 30 days and then deleted.
You can turn analytics and session replay off at any time using the Analytics setting in “Your Privacy Choices” at the bottom of our US website pages, or by turning on Global Privacy Control or “Do Not Track” in your browser. To ask about or delete your data, email hello@bluebirdglasses.com.
Your choices and rights
Marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email. We’ll still send you messages about your orders and account.
Analytics and advertising choices. Open “Your Privacy Choices” at the bottom of our US website pages to control two separate settings:
- Analytics controls PostHog analytics, including session replay.
- Marketing controls the Meta Pixel and server-side waitlist signup events sent through Meta’s Conversions API.
Turn a setting off and save your choices to stop future collection or sharing through those tools. We honor Global Privacy Control as an opt-out of both analytics and marketing, including both browser and server-side Meta events. These settings do not unsubscribe you from marketing emails or disable security checks needed to protect the signup form.
Privacy rights. Depending on where you live, including California and several other US states, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect about you and how we use and share it
- Access a copy of your personal information
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete your personal information
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information, or its use for targeted advertising
- Not be treated differently for exercising these rights
To make a request, email hello@bluebirdglasses.com. We’ll verify your identity before responding, and we may ask for information to do so. You can also have an authorized agent make a request on your behalf. If we deny your request, you may be able to appeal by replying to our decision.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, such as providing our Services and meeting legal, tax, and accounting requirements. We then delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
International users
Bluebird is based in the United States, and we process information in the United States. If you use our Services from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the effective date above, and we’ll notify you of material changes where required by law.
